Imagine a whole neighborhood devoted to "Boy’s Love" anime and manga...imagine no more! Because YOU demanded it! Pictures of Bishonen and Yaoi anime and manga shopping mecca "Otome Road" in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.
Sorry it's not more glamorous, especially around 3pm on a Wednesday...
Most of the action takes place, ahem, "between the covers" of the dojinshi for sale at K-Books.
Some real bad J-rock was blasting out of that Brand X store. Note actual female otaku with over stuffed shopping bag (lower left). Let's break out the paparazzi lens..

Big ass store display next to Character Queen in front of God and everybody. "Tastes like candy," apparently...
In the gag manga version of this post, the man on the bike hits that pole and flies through the Mandarake sign.
It started to look like an all-girl version of Land of the Dead, so we hightailed it outta there, only to wind up having our brains eaten up like rest home pudding at a Boy's Love cafe...
So... is it a good place to pic up Hot Otaku Chicks? :P

I believe part of this otome scene--uiiiiiiiiing to doujinshi, squealing at fourth-graders--is a markedly reduced interest in being picked up, no matter how cute and sexy you may regard yourself.
