Podcast: Hot Tears of Shame -€“ Episode Twenty-Nine

Shokotan

The OTACKERS storm Sony Music HQ to party once more with Shoko Nakagawa AKA Shokotan...and you are there (kind of)! Note for completists: No actual audio from the interview is used; only the hastily edited bits from waiting for the train, crouching in the darkness, and exiting burger cafes. You're going to gave to read the Japan Times like everyone else when the resulting article eventually drops.

The hammer-bashing of the Ponyo DVD is funny :)

I always love when Matt brings up DC, since I can totally understand everything he references, being from DC and all.

cute chick. at first look, i thought she was flashing the "goat devil" (DON'T BREAK THE OATH!). And holy mamma is her index finger long!

PM - put an ol' school kangol on you and you look all 80's hip hop with that lean.

she looks like a dangerous pixie who can shoot pink lasers out of her fingers.

At first, I thought she was flashing the Kazuo Umezu "Gwash" sign, but I'm now pretty sure it's a straight up little devil laughin' at ya.

Another awesome podcast which I labor and sweat and die to download, so I hope you f'ing APPRECIATE what I go thru to listen!

*cough cough* what? sorry. anyway.

When I get to Japan I want to bring this with me

http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/travelpower/9260/

Do you think I could get it on the plane and past customs? Because, ya know, having my photo taken at Akiba in the rain with a lit up umbrella would be the most awesome thing ever, right?

but dudes...Winter Wonfest cancelled?! Will there be Otaku Panic?

And if Tim pulls off his big score, it just might be epic. if he survives.

Slasher 666 has one of those Blade Runner umbrellas...

Sucks about Wonfest as I was hoping to hit it this year. Will pour some Ukon no Chikara on the curb for the homies.

We'll use that photo as evidence in your trial: "Gaijin handlers provoke Shokotan's endorsement of media propaganda publication..."

Shokotan is doing the "Mamitasu pose" in the picture. Mamitasu is the name of her favorite pet cat, and the hand pose is supposed to look like kitty ears. She loves cats very much, so she does this pose often.

It is usually accompanied by one of her sound effects "Tuttulu!", though I can't tell if she said that in this picture.

OK, so I've got to be the one this time asking what the opening and closing songs were.

Opening - Combattler V theme by Ichiro Mizuki
Closing - Love Won't Desert Us (Famous) by The Push Kings.
