Man, I'm really out of touch with the industry when I don't know half the names on there. Of course, I also didn't know most of the names in Robot Carnival when I first saw it, so maybe it's not a big deal. Anyway, sorry for getting off topic but I wanted to ask Carl the following: Now that Viz has Naruto-even though I pretty much guessed that a while ago, cus you needed to fill the void left by Inu Yasha's departure-where do you plan to air it? CN? Kids WB? FOX BOX? What will the disc count be on the dvds? Will Viz sub the songs this time? Do you have the rights to the movies? Will the inevitable games released by Bandai be dub-only or have a dual-language option? Going back to Patrick, does Kino have the rights to Shiki-Jitsu?
Oh, and if you didn't make the Steamboy screening, you didn't miss anything, as Otomo bailed out, and all we got were stupid t-shirts. (Of War of the Worlds, but still...) Still, if you're in SF on March 4, Don "My Spoon is Too Big" Hertzfeldt will be presenting The Animation Show, which you can read more about at http://www.animationshow.com/. It's a shame that Mike Judge isn't making as many appearances this time around, but he has to shoot that Futurama rip-off...

I note that these Genius Party short titles sound much like an OC track listing. So already it shows real promise.
Actually, Daniel, I'm not privy to that kinda data, because I don't work at Viz no more. I left last February and now work as an editor at Dark Horse Comics. I'd be better equipped at this point to drop the odd detail on SIN CITY.

I see. So what's Toren been up to lately?

It's been a real long time since I last read about Genius Party... it's good to see that the project(s) is(are) still progessing.
