I was interviewed for an AFP article titled “Young Americans revel in Japanese pop culture,” which Yahoo! News picked up on Sat/19.
I also popped up in the San Jose Mercury News on Feb/11 talking about scary Kigurumi Cosplay for an article called “Some Pop Culture Fads Attract a Devoted Few” (which should probably be written on my tombstone). Tragically, it’s gone into their archives already, so you have to register to read it.
And on the horizon, it looks like there’s also going to be a review of Anime City in this week’s San Francisco Bay Guardian.
Meanwhile, there’s been much thought given to what the next book should be. There are two solid ideas right now, and the making of proposals and the shopping around thereof will resume as soon as this silly vacation is over. There’s also been a flurry of activity on Top Secret DVD Project X, but I’m waiting on the label to commit to a green light.
Waiting kind of sucks.
Patrick and Carl. Any thoughts on HST kicking the bucket?
