After that picture was taken, Ace Jo went on a vaudeville rampage and put his fist through that hat.
IMO, "Youth of the Beat" is better than "Colt/Passport". But that's just me. I have "Detective Bureau 2-3: Go to Hell Bastards" coming soon. The title sells itself. Heard nothing great about the film though.
There's a fine impromptu song and dance number in Detective Bureau 2-3: Go to Hell Bastards. I forget if Joe wears a jaunty hat or not.
Two fun facts about Mr. Peppermint: he was the first person to report the Kennedy assassination and he's the father of Gibby Haynes from the Butthole Surfers.
A few days ago I watched A Colt is My Passport on the recent DVD release in the Nikkatsu Noir box set.
Left me hungry for more movies with Shishido Joe.
